Limited Benefit Health Insurance
Cook & Associates has teamed up with Homeland HealthCare and the Affiliated Worker Association (AWA), a non-profit organization that offers educational, recreational and lifestyle benefits and services for the American working public. Thru the AWA, we are able to offer you a Limited Benefit Health Insurance program administered by Homeland HealthCare. Homeland HealthCare's program provides a wide array of first dollar accident and sickness coverages, including specified benefits for emergency room and other hospital related care, health screenings, in-hospital indemnity, doctors' office visits and value added benefits which includes prescriptions, vision, dental and more. The benefit is paid to the insured, independent of actual medical costs and regardless of other insurance.
Homeland HealthCare does not provide major medical insurance. Its intent is to provide specific, supplemental or limited health coverage and is not meant to replace basic health insurance or major medical coverage. (Pre-existing conditions not eligible for 12 months)
Advantages
Limited benefit health insurance can enhance a total benefits program by offering an affordable means to help cover people:
- Who may not have access to comprehensive (major) medical insurance
- Who may not be able to afford comprehensive (major) medical insurance
- Who elect comprehensive medical plans with high deductibles, thus requiring significant out-of-pocket payments that may be supplemented by a limited benefit plan.
Additional Advantages
- Program utilizes the Discount Provider Network from Beechstreet Preferred Provider network, one of the largest PPO networks in the nation, including more than 560,000 respected practitioners, 5,000 hospitals and over 85,000 ancillary network providers.
- Family coverage available. Employees can insure their spouses and eligible dependent children.
- Lump-sum, cash payments will be paid directly to insured in the event of covered loss due to an accident or sickness. Covered claims are paid quickly, without deductibles or co-payments, in addition to any other insurance you may have. Benefits may also be assigned by the insured to a medical provider or facility.
